BCCI takes strict action against Virat Kohli, Naveen-ul-Haq and Gautam Gambhir

BCCI has taken strict action against Virat Kohli, Naveen-ul-Haq, and Gautam Gambhir for their behavior during the IPL 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Lucknow.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India have fined them for tarnishing the game’s image.

Virat and Gambhir’s 100 percent match fee will be deducted, while it is 50 percent in Naveen’s case.

Virat and Naveen had a go at each other during and after the match. On the other hand, the mentor of Lucknow and RCB were also involved in a heated exchange of words.

Kohli and Gambhir were charged under article 2.21, level 2 offence. Naveen was found guilty under article 2.21 level offence. Three of them have accepted their sanctions.

Batting first, RCB scored 126 runs in 20 overs and restricted the LSG to 108, winning the contest by 18 runs.
