Punjab Kings, batting first, kept losing wickets at regular intervals, but Prabhsimran Singh shone for the Kings as the 22-year-old struck his maiden IPL century. The opener amassed 103(65), which included ten fours and six sixes.
Despite Singh’s heroics, other batters failed to show up and in the end, put 167/7 on the board.
In reply, Delhi Capitals got off a flying start, and David Warner & Phil Salt stitched a 69-run stand. PBKS spinners Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar shone for Punjab as they took six wickets in four overs and bounced back in the game. In the end, DC fell short of 31 runs.
