Punjab Kings crashed out of the tournament after they endured a four wickets defeat against Rajasthan Royals at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala.
Punjab, batting first, put 187/5 on the board courtesy of a 64-run stand between Sam Curran and Shahrukh Khan. Notably, the duo smashed 46 runs off the final 12 balls to post an at-par total on the board. Further, Jitesh Sharma also played a valuable knock.
In reply, Jos Buttler registered his 3rd straight duck. His opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal scored another fifty and amassed 50(36), which included eight fours. Shimron Hetmyer guided the Royals in the middle overs with his 46(28). However, the star with the bat was Devdutt Padikkal, who won the player of the match award for his 51(30).
