Jos Buttler was the star batter for his franchise as the 32-year-old fell short of 5 runs from his century. Buttler amassed 95(59). Besides watching Buttler return to form, the fans were also excited to see another English batter Joe Root, made his IPL debut against SRH.

Unfortunately for Root, he did not get to bat. After this, the 32-year-old scripted a bizarre feat as it was Joe’s fourth debut across formats and leagues, where he did not get to bat.

Notably, Root did not bat when he made his T20I, ODI debut. Further, when the right-hand batter played his first game in the Hundred, that time also he did not get to bat.

Another interesting fact about Root is that he made his Test, ODI, T20I and IPL debut in India.

Rajasthan had been struggling with their batting in the last few games, which is why they roped in Root in the playing XI by replacing Jason Holder, who went for three sixes against Mumbai Indians.
