The Wankhede Stadium witnessed a Tim David show as Mumbai Indians scripted one of the best run-chases after they beat Rajasthan Royals by six wickets, as David smashed three consecutive sixes off the first three balls of the final over.
The visitors, batting first, put 212/ 7 on the board courtesy of 124-run innings by 21-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal. The left-hand opener took the internet by storm as he smashed the highest individual score by an uncapped player in the history of IPL.
No other Rajasthan batter scored 20+ runs. In reply, Mumbai Indians got off to a bad start as birthday boy Rohit Sharma got out early. Suryakumar Yadav was back among runs as he scored a half-century. The star of the game was Tim David, who amassed an unbeaten 45(14).
