Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir hogged the internet after the two had an ugly alternation after Royal Challenges Bangalore’s win over Lucknow Super Giants.
Notably, Virat was conversing with Kyle Mayers when Gambhir took Mayers away, following which distasteful words were exchanged between Virat & Gambhir, and the two had to be separated by the players of both teams.
Besides Virat’s spat with Gambhir, he also had an ugly altercation with Afghanistan’s Naveen-ul-Haq. Notably, the right-arm seamer was not happy with Virat, and the two had a heated conversation during the 17th over of the match when Virat was seen showing his shoe’s dust to Naveen.
A day after the drama, Naveen’s Twitter war with former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi has been doing rounds online. During the LPL 2020, Naveen fought with Mohammad Amir, post which Afridi took to Twitter and wrote, “My advice to the young player was simple, play the game and don’t indulge in abusive talk. I have friends in the Afghanistan team, and we have very cordial relations. Respect for teammates and opponents is the basic spirit of the game.”
In reply, Naveen wrote, “Always ready to take advice and give respect, Cricket is a gentleman’s game but if someone says you all are under our feet and will stay there, then he is not only talking about me but also talking about my people.”
After the tweet went viral, the fans felt that Naveen lost his cool on the former India skipper because of the shoe gesture.
