Rashid Khan and Hardik Pandya, the two seniors in the Gujarat Titans, contributed to their team’s win over Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2023. While Rashid took 3 wickets, Hardik contributed with the ball and bat.
The Afghanistan ace spinner was named the Player of the Match for his spell, which saw him conceding 15 runs from 4 overs. Former India player Irfan Pathan said that Hardik and Rashid took personal revenge from RR.
“Rashid was slammed for three sixes in one over by Sanju Samson in their first meeting. He was unhappy with himself and was looking for revenge. On the other hand, Hardik failed to lead Gujarat to win in the previous contest because of his slow batting. Also, RR won their match at the Narendra Modi Stadium, and Hardik wanted to settle a score,” said Irfan Pathan.
Meanwhile, Titans bowled out the Royals on a score of 118 and won the game by 9 wickets.
