In a recent development in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season, West Indies legend Chris Gayle has predicted that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will make it to the playoffs. The ongoing season of IPL has six teams vying for three spots in the playoffs, making it an exciting tournament for fans.
Speaking on Jio Cinema, Gayle said, “Royal Challengers Bangalore have a better chance of qualifying as they have two games remaining. If they win their two games, they will see themselves in the top four. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are also going to miss out.”
Interestingly, Graeme Swann made a cheeky remark about Gayle’s prediction and said that the teams might have qualified if Gayle was in the team. Swann broke into laughter after making the remark.
Currently, PBKS, RCB, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Rajasthan Royals are tied at 12 points each. However, Kolkata and Rajasthan are at a significant disadvantage with just one game remaining, while RCB have two games left. Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants are favorites for two of the remaining three spots with 15 points to their name from 13 matches.
