Kolkata Knight Riders beat Punjab Kings by five wickets on the last ball of a thriller game at the Eden Gardens to go fifth on the table.
Punjab, batting first, rode on their skipper Shikhar Dhawan’s special innings as the southpaw scored 57(47), which included nine fours and one six. The Kings’ got slow in the middle overs, but hard-hitting at the death by Shahrukh Khan helped PBKS put 179/7 on the board.
Chasing 180, Nitish Rana scored 51(38), while Andre Russell gathered 42(23). In the end, Rinku Singh smashed a four off the last ball to seal the win.
