The ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians at the Ekana Stadium is halfway through. The hosts, batting first, posted an above-par total of 177/3 courtesy of an unbeaten 89(47) by Marcus Stoinis.
Despite a good total on the board, LSG did not have a good start, as they lost three wickets for 35 runs. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma hogged the internet after he lost his cool on Ishan Kishan, who had a brain fade moment after Quinton de Kock’s dismissal.
On the first ball of the 7th over, Piyush Chawla bowled a googly which de Kock failed to read, and there was a thick nick. Chawla, Rohit, and other players closer to the pitch appealed to the umpire in excitement, but Ishan Kishan was unmoved by the edge, as the left-hand batter failed to hear the sound and casually clipped the bails, which left the MI players stunned.
Fortunately for MI, the umpire gave the decision in Mumbai’s favour. However, Rohit could be seen losing his calm on Kishan and questioning him over not appealing to the umpire. To which, Ishan casually gestured a DRS signal. The video of Rohit getting angry is available on IPL’s official website.
