Watch – Riyan Parag reacts to his exclusion from RR’s playing XI, hits massive sixes in net session

After being dropped from the playing XI, Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Riyan Parag was seen working rigorously in the nets to improve his big-hitting abilities. The Guwahati-born youngster lost his place in the RR side owing to his poor form in IPL 2023.

He has batted in the middle-order in five games this season and has only managed 54 runs at an average of 13.50. With Dhruv Jurel delivering great performances, Parag was benched.  Dhruv is playing the role of a finisher.

Riyan Parag posted a video on his Twitter account showing his practice.

“When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Blinkers on,” he wrote.

RR retained Parag for IPL 2023, after buying him for ₹3.80 crore at the mega auction in 2022. The young gun still needs to prove his worth.

He has been a part of 52 IPL games for RR, scoring 576 runs at an average of 16.46 and a strike rate of 123.61.
